I have rebooted my account! I took down a lot of old crappy art and uploaded some new shiny pieces from for recent classes at Kendall. I am looking to get more involved in creating fan art and commissions over the summer months, since I won't have class and should have more time to produce work.
Alright since my last journal entry a lot has happened. It's been almost a year, so I suppose that would be normal, but I think it's been a little more than the average year for me. I switched jobs. Three times. And had three jobs at once for about a month. I worked on a CD cover for a band, which they thought was pretty kick ass. On top of that I have been producing digital artwork at breakneck speeds, all while trying to keep my grades up! I won't go into any more detail than that, because all of this is already on my blog: parallelillustration.blogspot.…
I am updating my website this year, as a requirement for Professional Practices class. I am also starting to produce pages from my graphic novel Parallel! So many exciting things, along with some more stuff to come, like my wedding in a month!
I have pretty much converted strictly to digital art, just for the sheer convenience of carrying and cleanup. I will still take traditional commissions, but they will likely cost more than average. To contact me for commission info, e-mail me at coopert1150@gmail.com A pricing guide will be posted here shortly, but until then send me the following information:
1: What you want EXACTLY (down to the littlest detail described at length)
2: Color? Black and White? Digital? Traditional? That sort of thing.
3: Size requirements
4: What the image is going to be used for. (licensing, personal use, full brand, etc.)
5: Any other relevant information
I will contact you back within 48 hours to let you know if I can take the commission and what the price is. Also keep your eyes peeled here to see if I close commissions. Thank you all for your support!

GRADUATION!
Well, it has been a long four years at Kendall, and even longer for my BA Degree, but at long last it will finally be over! I will be receiving my Bachelors of Fine Arts in Illustration in May, and let me tell you I could not be happier.
Now the scary part begins: what the heck do I do with this fancy degree? Freelancing doesn't require it, and most art jobs are more to do with experience and portfolio. Did I waste my money? NO! Going to KCAD was one of the best decisions of my life. The experience and companionship, hardships and joys that KCAD brought me are irreplaceable, and I will certainly miss it.
I am more than ready to move o
Website Updated!
I just updated my portfolio website! Its looking pretty good, but I would appreciate feedback on layout, design, or even pieces. You have all seen just about everything I have made uploaded on DA, so if you think something would go well in there, let me know! Also, I added a Comic book section, and a Characters section. Really hoping to generate some visibility, so please share with your friends!

The New and the Old
As some of you may have noticed, I haven't updated my journal in quite some time. Yeah, this is bad. :( You may also have noticed that I have been much more active on DA in the last few months. I post things once a week and I reply to every message I receive. This is good :D In this journal entry I would like to explain what I have been up to since my last update. From here on out, expect to see a lot more journal updates!
I am halfway done with school! Kendall College of Art and Design should see the last of me in about a year and a half, and when Im done, who knows where I will end up. Likely wherever my job takes me. ;) School h
Multipalooza
So, i decided that in order to get myself out there as efficiently as possible, i would need to join several multimedia sites. So i joined Webs, a free web hosting site; Tumblr, the blogging site; and smackjeeves.com, a free webcomic hosting site. don't worry im not forgetting about anyone on Deviantart. I just need to get out there faster. So if anyone wants a comission for a character design, landscape, etc. im taking them for ink drawings. If you want color, im also doing watercolor drawings as well. send me your ideas and i'll send you some excellent drawings!
Oh and heres a few new things to tide you over until i get more of my we
